Building Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on property infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and appliances.

  • Take initiative in identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests, prioritizing and attending to urgent issues within 24 hours.

  • Communicate with the customer service team to address and resolve guest reports and complaints effectively and in a timely manner.

  • Conduct regular inspections of property systems and equipment to ensure optimal functioning.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and inventory of supplies.

  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to guests.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.

  • Assist with setting up and managing preventative maintenance schedules.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to other staff members as needed.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to suggest improvements and upgrades.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant degree preferred.

  • Proven experience as a technician, maintenance worker, or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general maintenance practices.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Proactive attitude with a strong sense of urgency in addressing maintenance issues.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customer service and resolve guest concerns.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
